Introduction Of Water Well Drilling Tools Casing

  • Drilling, casing, tubing: the three stages of a wellbore
    1. Use Rock Button BitsThe drill pipe is a durable steel pipe that can transmit force to the drill bit. In many cases, the drill rod rotates the drill bit and the drill bit cuts into the rock until it reaches the sediment. The last drill pipe before the drill bit is usually a non-magnetic drill collar, especially in horizontal drilling. Drill pipe drilling is the first stage of every wellbore. The drilling mud also cools the drill bit and brings the cuttings, that is, the cut rock back to the surface.

    1. Lining with sleeve
The outer tube is called the casing. The casing is lining the wellbore to protect the soil layer, especially groundwater, from contamination by drilling mud and/or fracturing fluid. It can also stabilize the wellbore, so the casing must be able to withstand particularly high loads. Drilling and casing alternating-the drill string is taken out at specific intervals, the borehole is lined with casing and cemented. Then continue drilling.
    2. Tubing production
Tubing transports oil and gas from the depth of the well to the surface-the third stage of the wellbore. Oil and gas occasionally surface on their own; usually, a pump is required to bring the fluid to the surface.

Except for the diameter of 4 1/2 inches, the diameter of the tubing is naturally smaller than that of the casing. An outer diameter of 114.3 mm (4 1/2 inches) is considered a threshold, which can be casing or tubing. The smaller is called tubing, and the larger is called casing.

From the surface to the bottom of the hole, the size of Water Well Drilling Tools casing is gradually shrinking-depending on the use and diameter, there are many types of casing. The "starting point" is where the borehole gradually transitions from vertical to horizontal. Due to the horizontal drilling, the deposit can be reached in a more targeted manner. Finally, the drill string is removed and the production casing is inserted into the wellbore and cemented in place. The well is then fractured and the tubing is installed in the production casing.
